About Us
We're Old Route 66 Family Restaurant, and we've been a premier family American restaurant here in Dwight, Illinois, since 2001. We specialize in comfort food and classic American cuisine, as well as catering services for any event you have planned. Our delicious menu has something everyone will love. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we serve up some of the finest home-cooked meals this side of Chicago. Nice diner. When we’re out of town we try very hard to find local places and avoid chains if we can.
Our waitress was friendly and on top of it. Our food came out FAST and was very good.

Another great lunch today at Old Route 66 restaurant. As it was Ash Wednesday, we had two options, a fish sandwich or a Walleye sandwich. My wife and I enjoyed each - both were very good. Great service as well and the best atmosphere in town. Highly recommend!

I decided to stop here after work because I like to try new foods and places I've never been I decided to get the deep fried mushrooms with ranch and the mushroom burger starting with the mushrooms if you've ever had deep fried mushrooms sometimes they can be almost soggy with too much liquid on the inside spewing out hot liquids these mushrooms were most definitely adequately prepared and cooked with a solid crunch the mushroom burger was pretty good it was a Toasted Bun solid beef patty mushrooms and swiss cheese with tomatoes lettuce onion and pickles on the side with a side of mayo overall very good burger well cooked well prepared also decided to go on Valentine's Day and they had a whole bunch of balloons and it was candle lit it was nice
